At first glance you might view some of my pieces as Rorschach tests, but shockingly they’re not. Capturing the fine art of nature is the core of my encaustic work, as that is where true beauty is often found. My frequent choice of medium is natural beeswax & resin for its tactile suppleness, strength and delicacy. I paint with a blowtorch which makes each piece truly unique. Knowing that this medium can be forever manipulated allows the art to be devoid of constraints in order to explore and examine the transformative process...similar to those that shape our everyday lives. 

I’m a huge fan of texture, and my work often reflects that. I also love to create with porcelain, leather and incorporate found objects into my pieces. Please contact me if you're interested in purchasing your very own nugget.
